Individuals bearing two copies of the Obp83a+t10.6,Obp83b+t10.6 genomic transgene show similar deactivation of Or47b, Or83c and Or67d neurons upon stimulation with trans-2-hexenal, farnesol and cVA, respectively, as compared to controls.
A Obp83a+t10.6,Obp83b+t10.6 genomic transgene rescues the following defects in Df(3R)OS-EF- mutant trichoid/intermediate sensilla neurons: the increased spontaneous activity of Or47b neurons, as well as their decreased response (and delayed deactivation) to the odorant trans-2-hexenal; the increased spontaneous activity of Or88a/Or65abc neurons; the increased response (and delayed deactivation) of Or83c neurons to the odorant farnesol; the decreased response (and delayed deactivation) of at1 sensilla/Or67d neurons to the pheromone cVA.
