Description

A portion of the first coding exon of the endogenous dpp locus (including the signal sequence) has been replaced by an artificial FRT cassette that contains full-length dpp tagged with three copies of Tag:HA (such that the mature protein is tagged). This results in a conditional null allele in which dpp function can be disrupted by using FLP recombinase to excise this artificial FRT cassette.
