UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a full-length hh cDNA, with a Tag:HA epitope inserted into the coding sequence just upstream of the autocleavage site. The autocleavage site (codon 258) has been mutated to encode a stop codon. This transgene is expected to produce a polypeptide consisting of only the N-terminal signaling domain of hh, without a cholesterol attachment.
