Description

A 'dual-kingdom' promoter cassette that allows expression in both Drosophila (promoter sequence from Hsp70) and prokaryotes (promoter sequence from CP6) is fused upstream of the Bcer\bsr coding sequence. The encoded protein is resistant to blasticidin S, allowing this transgene to be used as a selection marker.
