Description

A 'dual-kingdom' promoter cassette that allows expression in both Drosophila (promoter sequence from Hsp70) and prokaryotes (promoter sequence from CP6) is fused upstream of the Hsim\TK coding sequence. The encoded protein is sensitive to ganciclovir, allowing this transgene to be used as a counterselection marker.
