      The expression of Lsd-1dsRNA.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ppl.PU leads to enlarged lipid droplets in the the adult fat body; adults are resistant to infection with S. typhimurium (decreased mortality and decreased bacterial load). Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Switch1.106, induced by RU486 just before infection, still induces large lipid droplets in the adult fat body and resistance to infection.
