The FRT cassette present in bcdbcd.EGFP.FRT.bcd3'UTR.sqh3'UTR has been excised, removing the bcd 3'UTR and Disc\RFP3xP3.cUa marker sequence. This leaves a transgene in which the bcd promoter is fused upstream of wild-type bcd coding sequence (from cDNA) that is tagged at the N-terminal end with EGFP. A single FRT site and the sqh 3'UTR are present downstream of the bcd coding sequence. The EGFP-tagged protein is expressed uniformly along the anterior-posterior axis of the embryo.
