      Adulthood-only expression of PolrMTE423P.UAS.GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.Switch.PR and induced by RU486 results in female semi-sterility after 1 week of expression, as these females' eggs exhibit decreased mtDNA levels. This expression induces a decrease in lifespan and a progressive decrease in climbing ability.
