20xUAS regulatory sequences drive expression of Aion that is tagged at the C-terminal end with mScarlet. To improve protein trafficking and to avoid local protein accumulation, the plasma membrane trafficking signal (ts: KSRITSEGEYIPLDQIDINV) from the mammalian inward rectifying K+ channel Kir2.1 has been added between the Aion and mScarlet coding sequences, and the Kir2.1 endoplasmic reticulum export signal (ER: FCYENEV) has been added at the C-terminus of the mScarlet coding sequence.
