Description

Sequence including the wild-type lncRNA:iab8 exon 8 sequence followed by the Avic\GFPEGFP.abd-A reporter has been inserted into the attP site in TI{attP}lncRNA:iab8Δexon8.attP. This reconstitutes a wild-type lncRNA:iab8 locus and also results in the abd-A promoter region (of the reporter) being located downstream of the endogenous lncRNA:iab8 ncRNA (as occurs normally in the Bithorax complex), but with the EGFP sequence of the reporter replacing abd-A (the endogenous abd-A transcription unit is still present on this chromosome, but is downstream of the inserted reporter sequence).
