The RMCE cassette of the Mi{MIC}ChATMI08244 insertion (located in a VAChT intron) has been replaced with a phase 1 Trojan GAL4DBD cassette that encodes a splice acceptor site followed by the T2A peptide, sequence encoding a GAL4(DBD)::Zip- hemidriver and an Hsp70 transcription termination signal. This results in expression of a truncated VAChT transcript lacking the 3'UTR, together with expression of the GAL4(DBD)::Zip- hemidriver under the control of endogenous VAChT regulatory sequences.
