DNA has been re-integrated into the attP site in TI{TI}CTCFattP.mCh, resulting in a locus that expresses a chimeric protein in which the 265 amino acid N-terminus of Hsap\CTCF is fused to CTCF sequence lacking the dimerization domain (lacks residues 80-170). Some duplicated CTCF sequence (part of exon 3 through to the end of exon 4) is present downstream of the chimeric open reading frame, but this is not expressed, due to the presence of a SV40 polyadenylation signal between the reconstituted locus and the duplicated sequence. A single loxP site is present in the first intron.
