UASt sequences regulate expression of a control transgene that expresses 'R-diLACCO1', a 'dead' form of the R-iLACCO1 red fluorescent lactate sensor that shows no response to lactate due to the introduction of amino acid substitution D69N (R-diLACCO1 also contains additional changes compared to R-iLACCO1 to improve fluorescence brightness).
