    Description

    The endogenous Octα2R locus has been modified so that sequence encoding 20 tandem copies of Tag:V5 has been inserted at the C-terminal end of the coding sequence. A sequence cassette in which a pair of incompatible recombinase target sites (FRT and FRT3) flank a splice acceptor site and transcription termination sequences has also been inserted within the locus, in an intron. This results in a conditional allele; full-length 20xTag:V5-tagged Octα2R is only expressed upon inversion of the sequence between the FRT/FRT3 sites.
