P{lacW}50C.x7 array is lost by recombination. Recombination of P{lacW}50C.x7 from the original T(2;3)Q-2 chromosome onto a normal-sequence chromosome is accompanied by reversion of the enhanced w variegation. This confirms the correlation between enhancement and chromosomal rearrangement.
