The progenitor of the FM7c-P{Dfd-GMR-nvYFP}1,sn+ balancer is FM7c, not FM7a as previously stated in FBrf0197896. The FM7c-P{Dfd-GMR-nvYFP}1,sn+ balancer chromosome is FM7c from which snX2 has been removed by a double crossover (thus the chromosome is sn[+]). It retains sequences near g unique to FM7c.
