Definition

Olfactory basiconic sensillum of the maxillary palp. The surface of the sensillum is perforated by numerous pores, arranged along a complicated pattern of branched lines, connecting to a lymph space innervated by branched dendrites from two ORNs. These sensilla are located predominantly on the distal half of the dorsal surface and the lateral edge of each maxillary palp.[ FlyBase:FBrf0091407 FlyBase:FBrf0128642 ]
