Term scolopidial dendritic cap cell ID (Ontology) FBbt:00005218 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Elongate cell that is part of a scolopidium. It is located at the distal end of the scolopidial dendrite, encompassing it. A conical deposit of electron opaque material fills the cap cell at its proximal end and connects the scolopale to the endoskeleton.
