Definition Bilaterally paired mitotic domain that, along with mitotic domain 22, forms a pouch-like invagination beneath the posterior tip of the elongating germ band which holds the pole cells. The cells of mitotic domain 13 form a ring around the opening of the pouch.[ FlyBase:FBrf0049535 ]
