Definition Epithelial tube that connects the spiracular branch 10 derived from the dorsal trunk to the embryonic/larval posterior spiracle. At one end, it is lined with cuticular threads call filzkorper, covered in oily secretions from the spiracular gland. At the other end, the chamber divides into 3 flattened branches that terminate at the surface as three major spiracular openings.[ FlyBase:FBrf0064787 FlyBase:FBrf0111388 ]
