Term dorsal lateral subperineurial glial cell ID (Ontology) FBbt:00001287 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Surface-associated, subperineurial glial cell located on the lateral surface of the embryonic/larval ventral nerve cord, and is located dorsal to the ventral lateral subperineurial glial cell. It lies at about 30% along the ventro-dorsal axis, and occasionally there are two of these cells per neuromere. CommentAt stage 14 the lateral subperineurial glial cells have a vertically elongated 'belt-like' morphology. This suggests that these cells may be the 'belt glia' described by Doe et al., 1991.
