| Definition | Lobula tangential neuron that sends a thick projection into the proximal lobula that bifurcates, with the combined dendritic arbors of both branches spanning the entire tangential extent of lobula layer 2 (Fischbach and Dittrich, 1989; Tanaka and Clark, 2022). Its axon innervates the ventrolateral protocerebrum (Otsuna and Ito, 2006).
