Definition

One of 64, post meiotic, haploid male germ cells in a spermatid cyst, connected to other spermatids by cytoplasmic bridges. The loss of these cytoplasmic bridge (individualisation) marks the end of the spermatid stage.[ FlyBase:FBrf0064778 ]
