Term anterior endoderm ID (Ontology) FBbt:00005559 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition The anterior part of the endoderm from its invagination during stage 7 to the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in late stage 8 when it become anterior midgut primordium. The invaginating anterior endoderm makes a short furrow that forms the cross bar of a T whose stem is the ventral furrow.
