| Definition | Proximal medullary amacrine neuron that branches at the proximal surface of the medulla, with both branches forming a broad terminal arbor in medulla layer M9. The processes of different cells intermingle significantly, and the arbor density is heterogeneous. It occupies a peripheral intracolumnar position. It is GABAergic (Davis et al., 2020).
