Term proximal medullary amacrine neuron Pm4 ID (Ontology) FBbt:00111282 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Proximal medullary amacrine neuron that branches at the proximal surface of the medulla. It covers around 10-20 columns with its pre- and post-synapses mostly in layers M8-M9 (Nern et al., 2025). It occupies a central intracolumnar position. It is GABAergic (Davis et al., 2020).
