A tubulin promoter drives expression of a VP16(AD)::Zip+ hemidriver (component of a 'split driver' system, contains the VP16 activation domain).
The RMCE cassette of the Mi{MIC}mAChR-BMI10828 insertion has been replaced with a Trojan GAL4DBD cassette that contains a splice acceptor site followed by the T2A peptide, followed by GAL4(DBD)::Zip- (component of the SplitGAL4 system) and an Hsp70 transcription termination signal.
