Description
Description
The Intraflagella Transport (IFT) complexes consist of three complexes: IFT-A, IFT-B and BBSome, evolutionary related to coat protein complexes (such as COPI/II and clathrin). These complexes mediate bi-directional transport in cilia and membrane targeting. They are thought to act as coat proteins, linking ciliary proteins to the transport machinery.
