Description
Description
The Complex Associated with Tethering Containing Helical Rods (CATCHR) family or DCGE group (Dsl1, COG, GARP, exocyst) are multi-subunit tethering complexes which share low sequence identity but conserved helical bundle structures. They are involved in capturing vesicles in ER-Golgi-plasma membrane trafficking. (Adapted from PMID:19575650 and FBrf0223481).
Notes on Group

In Mammals and yeast a fourth CATCHR family tethering complex has been described: the NRZ/Dsl1 complex. Such a complex has not been found Drosophila but Zw10 and Rint1 have been implicated ER-Golgi trafficking and membrane addition during cytokinesis (FBrf0219791), indicating that such a complex may exist.
