GTPases are an atypical family of the Ras superfamily of small GTPases. They are best known for their modulation of voltage-gated Ca2+ channels. (Adapted from FBrf0225550).
Notes on Group

The RGK family is sometimes classified as a subclass of the Ras family. Owing to their divergence from other members of the RAS GTPASES gene group they have been placed in their own distinct group within the RAS GTPASE SUPERAMILY.
