Description
Description
The Osiris gene cluster is present in insects and encodes a family of well conserved putative transmembrane proteins of unknown function. In D. melanogaster, most of the genes are clustered within the uniquely dosage-sensitive Triplo-lethal (Tpl) locus. Flies with either one copy or three copies of Tpl die as late embryos or early first instar larvae. (Adapted from FBrf0173211 and FBrf0217655).
