Description
The Tumor Necrosis Factor α (TNFα) signaling pathway is activated by Eiger (egr) binding to a member of the TNF receptor superfamily. The signal is primarily transduced via the Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) cascade, leading to cell death. (Adapted from FBrf0225608.)

FBrf0256741 shows that in the context of intestinal stem cells wgn can inhibit the JNK cascade. This is in contrast with the role of Tumor Necrosis Factor α signaling in promoting the JNK cascade (FBrf0162270). As this may be independent of the ligand egr, it has not been curated as part of the TNFα-Eiger Signaling Pathway.
