Description
Description
Annealing helicases catalyze the rewinding or annealing of single-stranded DNA or RNA to form base pairs between strands. The best characterized annealing helicase is SMARCAL1 (also known as HARP), which has roles in DNA repair, telomere maintenance and replication fork stability in response to DNA replication stress.
