Description
Description
The negative elongation factor (NELF) is a multisubunit transcription regulator complex. It binds with DRB sensitivity-inducing factor (DSIF) complex and RNA polymerase II elongation complex and induces transcriptional pausing. P-TEFb phosphorylates the repressive DSIF-NELF complex, causing NELF to dissociate from Pol II and promotes RNA polymerase II elongation. (Adapted from FBrf0211126, FBrf0203142 and FBrf0184223).
