Description
Description
Transgelins are a conserved family of actin-binding proteins involved in cytoskeletal remodeling, cell contractility, and cell shape. They are characterized by the presence of an N-terminal single calponin homology domain and a single C-terminal calponin-like repeat. Three genes encode transgelin proteins in both mammals and Drosophila. (Adapted from FBrf0249621.)
