Description
The Tim8-Tim13 complex is a mitochondrial intermembrane space chaperone that is required for the import and insertion of a subset of multipass transmembrane proteins into the mitochondrial inner membrane. (Adapted from PMID:11875042 and PMID:18706423.)
Notes on Group

Tim13, CG34132 and CG42302 are paralogs. CG34132 is ubiquitously expressed, while Tim13 and CG42302 are testis specific. As CG42302 has less homology with CG34132 or Tim13, a testis-specific Tim8-Tim13 complex with CG34132 has not been made.
