      Sequences used in the design of the Affymetrix Drosophila Genome Array were selected from FlyBase (Drosophila genome version 1). Oligonucleotide probes complementary to each corresponding sequence are synthesized in situ on the arrays. Fourteen pairs of 25-mer oligonucleotide probes are used to measure the level of transcription of each sequence. Over 13,500 gene sequences are represented.
