    Sample preparation

    Eggs were collected and placed on cornmeal-agar-molasses medium without alcohol. After eclosion, adult flies were transferred to fresh medium and allowed to age for 3 to 5 days. Brains were then dissociated with collagenase and stepwise trituration.
