Subject: pk update bits of prickle news for FlyBase: Tp(2;3)pk-sple-24 has no molecular lesions within the pk-sple gene therefore mutant phenotype implies a position effect. 'CyO-G': the chromosome represented by Tp(2;2)pk-sple26 is a nice second chromosome balancer being marked with pkpk-sple-26, an easy to score visible marker. Probably a better balancer than CyO because of its increased cytological complexity. The pk78a, pk78b, pk78d, pk78f, pk78g, pk78l and pk78m chromosomes are lost. pk78t = pk29 and is caused by T(2;3)pk78t. from David.
