Subject: pc mei-68 is a male sterile allele of UbcD1 (Cenci et al Genes Dev., 11:863-875 , 1997). This mutant exhibits extensive chromosome breakage during male meiosis due to the lack of resolution of the telomeric fusions. In addition it shows a few telomeric attachments in brain cells.
