(Seattle) Annual Drosophila Research Conference, for FlyBase. I am

You mention a gene that is new to FlyBase, Mbf1.
Do you have a map location for Mbf1? It is nice if we can keep as many
gene records as possible anchored to the map.

Dear Rachel,
The mbf1 gene maps to 73A. Marek has the information on its location on the physical map, and can provide it to you if needed.
FYI, Marek is a postdoc with Susumu HIROSE, who is the senior author on this poster. The Hirose lab had identified MBF1 as a factor from silkmoth that is required for the in vitro transcription of ftz. Marek has cloned the Drosophila homolog, and I'm helping him on the genetic analysis of mbf1.
