I wanted to point out that flybase contains references to both KRP130 and KLP61F. In fact, KRP130 is almost certainly the protein holoenzyme produced from the KLP61F gene (Kashina et al, 1996). We no longer refer to KRP130 (using KLP61F instead) and it would probably simplify things if this were also done in flybase and if information on KRP130 was combined with that on KLP61F in flybase as well. In addition we have two new papers on KLP61F (Sharp et al, 1999, J. Cell Biol, 144;125 and Sharp et al, 1999 Nature Cell Biology, 1, 51-54). Hope this is useful. Sincerely, Jonathan Scholey.
