Subject: Helping FlyBase: ADRC-742C
Dear Eyal,
We are currently curating the abstracts for the upcoming 41st
(Pittsburgh) Annual Drosophila Research Conference, for FlyBase.
I am writing in connection with your abstract:
'Drosophila homologs of the mammalian WASP/SCAR protein
family mediate various aspects of neurogenesis.'
You mention a gene that is new to FlyBase, Scar.
Do you have a map location for your gene or a symbol for your mutant
allele? These are all data items that we track, if possible.
Thank you for your help,
with best wishes,
Rachel.

Dear Rachel,
The Drosophila gene, which is a homolog of the evolutionarily conserved SCAR
genes (both Dicty and human homologs have been characterized), maps to 32C.

All the best,
Eyal Schejter
