Subject: FlyBase query
Dear Dr. Pirrotta,
I am curating your paper for FlyBase:
Poux et al., 2001, Development 128(1): 75--85
and I have a question.
1. .. 'PBX+2212H1' transposon in Figure 7C.
You reference the paper:
Poux et al., 1996, EMBO J. 15(17): 4713--4722
for this construct. I would be grateful if you could tell me the name
of the transposon in that paper, as FlyBase has a record of several
constructs from that paper, and I need to work out which one it is,
I look forward to hearing from you,
Gillian

Dear Ms Millburn
..
The PBX+2212H1 transposon is not explicitly listed in the Poux et al. 1996
paper. It contains the same PBX and 2212H1 fragments that are used in the
constructs in Table II of that paper but without the PRE fragment. The
origin of the fragments is shown in Figure 1 of that paper. If you prefer, I
can look up the exact positions defining these fragments in the published
sequence of the Ubx gene.
