Comments: The cDNA for this gene hybridizes to P1 clones DS03834, DS07998 and
DS07281, all of which are mapped to 77E1-E3. In addition, the cDNA recognizes
a RFLP in genomic DNA of l(3)04521 insertion mutants, which is mapped to the
same region. l(3)04521 is inserted 5' of CG4825, as determined by blasting
l(3)04521 plasmid rescue sequence to both Celera and BDGP genomic sequencing
data. I propose that CG6457 is near to CG4825 in the region of 77E1-3, based
on what I have told you and even more evidence.
