Subject: Ecol\lacZS138716
Hi Chihiro, I was just looking at the entry in Flybase of our
latest paper and realised that the LacZ lines that we used are cited. If
you are interested, I have additional information which by the time we
published the paper was not available. I rescued the P of the line
lacZS138716 and sequenced the flanking genomic sequence, and found out that
the insertion is in the 5'UTR of the gene misshapen (msn). It also fails to
complement other msn mutant alleles.
