Comments: The Drosophila gene burgundy (bur) was proposed to encode a GMP synthase gene, and its cytological position and sequence match that of CG9242. Because of this, and because there are no annotations with similar proposed function or sequence located in this region, I propose that burgundy and CG9242 are the same gene.
