Comments: CG32679 has sequence similarity to SCP/Tpx-1/Ag5/PR-1/Sc (SCP/TAPS)
proteins. In vespid wasps, Ag5 proteins have a sequence containing four
conserved cysteines in a domain that is N-terminal to the SCP/TAPS domain.
The four conserved cysteines participate in disulfide bonding. A similar
domain with four conserved cysteines is also present in many Drosophila
SCP/TAPS proteins. These include Agr, Agr2, CG9400, CG6628, and CG5106. A
sequence encoding a similar N-terminal domain lies upstream of the CG32679
SCP/TAPS coding sequence. The two sequences are interrupted by an apparent
phase 0 intron. A phase 0 intron with a similar location is also present in
Agr, CG6628, CG5106 and other SCP/TAPS genes.
