Subject: FlyBase query Dear Dr. Wang, I am curating your paper for FlyBase: Liu et al., 2003, Science 301(5641): 1921--1925 and I have a couple of questions about the r2d2 mutant shown in Figure 2D and E. 1. You call the starting P-element strain 'P-2450' \- is this a stock number ? does the strain have any other form of identifier \- I am trying to work out which P-element strain in FlyBase it corresponds to. 2. do you have a symbol you are using for the r2d2 mutant e.g. r2d21 (<up></up> = superscript) \- I need to give it a symbol that includes something in superscript so that it can be distinguished from other r2d2 mutants when they are made, thanks, Gillian \-------------------------------------------------------------- Gillian Millburn. FlyBase (Cambridge), \-------------------------------------------------------------- The starting R2D2 mutant P element was EP2450, located upstream of r2d2 (CG7138). The mutant is by convention, r2d21 with r2d2 in italics and 1 denoting superscript.
