We are (belatedly) curating the abstracts for the 18th
(Gottingen) European Drosophila Research Conference, for FlyBase.
I am writing in connection with your abstract:
'Characterization of a novel Hedgehog target gene in Drosophila'.
You mention a gene symbol that is new to FlyBase, CA-10. Do you know
which of the Genome Project CG annotations your gene corresponds to?
All the CGs have corresponding gene records in FlyBase already and we
don't like to make duplicate records for what is actually the same gene
unless we can't avoid it.

Dear Rachel,
I am sorry for the confusion. You could substitute the name CA-10 (that is
the name we assigned during the screening) with the corresponding gene,
cad99C (CG31009).
